First things first, if you do not like readings rants well this is probably something you should not read.
Okay number 1 thing here is , journals are postings of ideas/thoughts about what you think. There is no set order/reason to what goes into them and anyone who reads or views your profile could potentially answer you in a way you may not want, well get over it. You dont have to have "thesis statement of coherent ideas"in a f-ing journal. Its a website for posting what you think, geesh. The fact remains who the hell purposely sits in front of their computer, writing down a thesis statement, doing a web design of your ideas and then spending 30 mins to an hour on writing a coherent journal? No one does that!
Anyways for some background information the whole argument is based off a game called Left For Dead 2. Okay heres my point of view. When I first saw things about LFD2 I was like cool a sequel, well its not a sequel, LFD2 happens at the same time as LFD1 with different characters and a different storyline (hence the different characters.) So LFD2 is another game technically. They added the new characters and added new weapons/zombies/maps for the different location. The storyline is the group of four is going from Georgia to New Orleans to escape to a "safe zone." Anyways this allows for a completely different game as this would not be Downloadable content for LFD1 as it does not relate whatsoever to LFD1. It completely different. Now comes the reasoning, you have a game that was successful, you know the players liked it, people play it too much, get stupidly good at it and its the only game they play, the game gets boring for them, they want downloadable content, whaaaaaaaa you want some cheese with that wine? Go BUY A DIFFERENT GAME and stop playing the sam old crap. My point here is, yes Valve did say they would release extras for LFD1, the did to an extent for the original game. You cant sit there and add in a new campaign with more characters and more weapons, it changes the original game.
Heres the other argument. Oh whaaa lets whine about failed promises and lack of downloadable content for the original game. Geesh get over it. YEs they did release some DLC, yes they couldve released more, no theyre not going to so stop crying and get over it. Welcome to the videogame industry. They make games, they make them better by improving them, changing the game engine, elements of gameplay, gametypes, characters, weapons, etc. STOP WHINING ABOUT DLC AND FAILED PROMISES! Get over your sorry self, go buy a different game, stop playing the same old games, go get a girlfriend or boyfriend if your a girl, and get a life other than one that revolves around whining about failed promises of game developers. Save your money if you need to, sell a few artworks, do something other than whine geesh.
Also for those of you who I may not know who do this, journals are supposed to be fun, inventive way to express ones personal opinion in the form of you creating the topic yourself in your own journal or someone starting it and letting people express their thoughts. No my thoughts may not be exactly directed towards the original intent of the journal but they are my thoughts and I think you should respect them as I will respect yours unless you attack me on the basis that you think my thoughts are incoherent or unvalid thesis bullshit. I dont care, i go to college, i take college English, i know how to write a paper but im not going to take the time to type up some perfectly created bullshit journal and give it to you, your not my professor.
As this may have been offensive to some people or you my not agree with me. Feel free to express your ideas towards my journals, thats what they are for. Im sorry if i offended anyone but someone in particular who blocked me because my ideas were "incoherent or unrelated to the topic" if you bring somehting up Ill run with you, thats the point of a journal, you may not agree but you know what ITS AN OPINION not everyone has the same OPINION, so respect it.
